On Monday we will take the day to introduce one another and go over classroom rules and Regulations. The students will get a better understanding of what to expect from the upcoming year.
On Tuesday we will be writing freely in our journals. I want you to think deeply what you would like to write about. I hope that while reading these journals I will have the chance to find out more about your interests and hopes for the future.
On Wednesday in Science we will be studying Earth and Space. In order to make this a hands on experience I will ask each of you to research about the sun and different stars and find out 5 interesting facts that you did not know prior to your research. Later you will be required to complete and in- depth report on the different characteristics of stars and the Sun by next Wednesday. You have a full week to complete this assignment so I expect it to be great. I will be giving you more instructions in class on Wednesday. After the assignment is completed we will be taking a field trip to see an IMAX movie on Earth,Space, and Time.(SC.3.E.5.1)
Thursday and Friday we will be working on our projects in class and also focusing on the School’s Honor code.
Over the weekend you should begin looking at multiplication and division flash cards and tables. We will begin focusing on multiplication Monday and continue onto division later next week. Please come to class prepared. (MA.3.A.1.2)
